The ninth release for the Wax Thematique label sees Soul's Path Ensemble hold court for an atmospheric cut in the form of 'Another Mother Pt.1'. Brimming with sassy attitude, band leader Joel Ricci gives a knowing nod and a wink to the all the deviants populating his world. This composition represents the dirty underbelly funk we crave here at 45 Live. We've given this track the nickname 'The Thief's Theme'. On the flip, the group switch lanes on 'Pt.2' packing the funk motor with mo' juice as they lay bare their passion for a solid jazz funk brass construction and in doing so giving us all the feels.
